Check out this video to learn how to get started.

Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to ASKyH. My name’s Itay and on this episode, we’ll be answering the day-old question – “What is Google AdWords?”

Google AdWords

Google AdWords is one of the largest digital marketing platforms in the world. It helps millions of businesses, of all shapes and sizes, to successfully advertise their services in multiple ways such as:

And that’s only scratching the surface of all the different ways you can get your company’s name out there.

The Basics

Millions of people all over the world search for many things on Google daily. Using Google AdWords, you can see the search volume for specific terms that can be related to your business, and then make sure to be found whenever someone is looking for those terms.

Let’s say, for example, that you are an online e-commerce site that sells flowers and does deliveries. When someone searches for “roses delivery”, you have the option to display a specific ad for that specific query, and to send the user to the specific landing page in your site that sells roses. Pretty cool, right?

But it doesn’t stop there!

Let’s say there’s a successful YouTube channel whose main topic is flowers. It might be a clever idea to advertise your business using videos ads that will appear before that channel’s videos.

Third example can be showing your ads and videos on multiple sites that provide information about flowers.

All of these examples are part of the tools provided by Google AdWords to help you grow your business.

Google AdWords doesn’t just allow you to promote videos or websites. They’ve been expanding into the world of mobile apps. But that’s for another episode (see our episode about Universal App Campaigns).

That’s all the time we got for today. Please feel free to leave your questions and we’ll hit them up next time. You can also check out our blog to learn more about AdWords, including AdWords Audience Targeting or optimizing AdWords campaigns with Google Analytics.

Once again, I’m Itay and we’ll see you next time on ASKyH!
